The rose is a plant that even people who are not interested in flowers know only by name. It is a small shrub in the rose family. However, it is called the "Queen of Flowers" for its gorgeous flowers, fragrance, variety of colors, and longevity. It is the national flower of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Luxembourg, and especially the red variety is the national flower of Iraq and Oman.

Rose (Genus: Rosa) is native to the temperate to subtropical regions of the Northern Hemisphere and belongs to the Rosaceae family. It is a hardy deciduous/evergreen shrub.
