What is Hanashobu
Hanashobu or Japanese Iris ( scientific name: Iris ensata var. Ensata) is a horticultural variety of Nohana shobu (scientific name: I. e. Var. Spontanea) and is a perennial herb of the genus Iridaceae. In early summer, the flower spikes are extended from the tip of the upright flower stem to make large flowers bloom. There are Edo, Ise, Higo, Nagai and foreign origins.
