The herb is 80-120 cm tall. It produces thick flower stalks from scaly stems and bears long oval stem leaves in alternate clusters. 1 to 3 large, funnel-shaped, fragrant flowers, 20-25 cm in diameter, bloom at the top of the stems from April to July (peak season is July to August, distributed throughout the year). It is called "the queen of lilies. The typical color is pure white, but yellow and pink are also available. The color of the stamen anthers does not fade easily, so cut flowers are sold with the anthers removed beforehand.

The flowers are large, the petals have no spots, the petals are recurved, and the flowers have a sweet, fragrant scent. The leaves are oblong and glossy.
