It is a naturalized plant, commonly found on roadside grasslands. The stem has a flat shape, the leaves are sword-like, and the stem is held at the base. In early summer, a small purple-red or white six-six-colored flower (a flower with six flower covers) blooms at the tip of the flower stem. The flowers are all day long and wither in the evening.
