What is Dendrobium
Dendrobium (Scientific name: Dendrobium spp.) is evergreen perennial of the family Orchidaceae. It is not as expensive as a moth orchid (Phalaenopsis), it is an everyday flower. Leaves are not as long as {{cymbidium}}, they are rounded and short.
Representative examples are Novil series, Phalaenopsis series (Denfarer series), Four Mosam series, and Kingiananum series. Speaking of Dendrobium is often a novil system. The Phalaenopsis system is distinguished by calling it Denfare.
*Dendrobium nobile
It is circulating as a potted plant, plant height 20 to 80 cm, dense flowers are densely packed on the upstanding thick valve section. Flower diameter is 3 ~ 8 cm, flower core (flower center) is deep color, flower color is pink, light purple, red purple, yellow, white. Leaves are short and oblong with a rounded shape and are thick. The flower season is from December to May. Place of origin is Himalaya to Thailand.
*Den phalae series
There are many uses as a cut flower (bouquet, flower arrangement), a plant height of 60 to 80 cm, a long thin flower stalk is extended from the tip of the valve, and several few flowers similar to Falunopsis are attached in a sparse manner. Flower diameter is 5 to 8 cm, flower color is peach, red, white and so on. The flower season is from July to November. Origin is Australia, New Guinea.
