What is Urban Safari
Rudbeckia hirta 'Urban Safari' is a cultivar of the Rudbeckia hirta species, belonging to the Asteraceae family and Rudbeckia genus. It is a compact plant, typically reaching a height of 40 to 50 cm, with well-branched stems that produce large, densely-packed flowers. In early summer, it extends its inflorescences from the basal, spatulate leaves, blooming with orange-colored flower heads measuring 5 to 7 cm in diameter. The flower color may vary depending on the nutrient content and environmental conditions. The central disc florets of the flower have a glossy, brown color and are prominently elevated. During winter, the foliage diminishes, and the aboveground parts of the plant wither, but the roots in the soil remain alive, making it a perennial herbaceous plant.
