Syasyanbo(scientific name: Vaccinium bracteatum) is an evergreen shrub of the ericaceae family. It is distributed in Southern Kanto, Shikoku, Kyushu and Okinawa of Japan. The peel of a tree is dark brown, and a color of the trees is chestnut brown. Leaves with oval-shaped pointed tip is thick in the cortex, and glossy: The leaves (front) is green and leaves(back) is not glossy. In the midrib underside are dotted with small protrusions. There is jaggedness in the upper part of the leaves. The leaves attached alternate. It lets pot-formed white florets like an andromeda bloom in the raceme in summer. Small liquid fruit of the oval shape of the culminated in Blueberry black purple in the fall. Fruit is edible with a sweet and sour taste.
