Calamininsa grandiflora (scientific name: Calamintha grandiflora) is native to the Mediterranean coast, and is evergreen perennial of the family Lamiaceae. It is used as a herb for one varieties of calimusa. From spring to early summer, herbs spread out spikes from the tip of the stem and bloom small peachy lips. Leaves have scents of mint, medicinal properties such as perspiration promotion and depigmentation effect. The two most common varieties of calaminsa are this Calaminsa grandiflora and Calamintha nepeta. Grande Flora has relatively large flowers in the calaminsa.
