Epithelantha micromeris ( (scientific name: Epithelantha micromeris 'Tsukisekai') is a small spherical cactus native to Texas and northern Mexico. It grows wild in forests and desert grasslands at altitudes of 500 to 1,800 m. The seeds fall close together and grow in small clumps. It is a representative of the genus Epithelantha and has dense soft, white, harmless stigmas and spines attached to a green spherical body. Small pink flowers bloom from the tip of the stem (the body of the cactus), followed by a cylindrical, crimson-colored fruit. Epithelantha is considered the smallest cactus.
