Fritillaria imperialis or fritillaria (Generic name: Fritillaria imperialis) is a cold-hardy, semi-vineous bulbous perennial plant of the genus Fritillaria in the family Liliaceae, native to southern Turkey. The fleshy stems emerge from the large bulbs and produce many small flowers in a ring at the end of the stems. In the wild, the small flowers are orange in color with a bell shape and bloom downward. There are also horticultural varieties in yellow and red. Baimo (scientific name: Fritillaria verticillata var. thunbergii) and It is in the same family as black lily (Fritillaria camtschatcensis).
