Galphimia gracilis (scientific name: Galphimia gracilis) is a nonchilling evergreen small shrub native to eastern Mexico in the genus Quintranoidea.
Galphimia gracilis (G. gracilis) and Galphimia glauca (G. glauca) are similar. The difference is that the petals of G. gracilis fall off as the fruit matures, while the petals of G. glauca persist through the fruiting stage. Gulfimia gracilis (G. gracilis) flowers at one time in many dense inflorescences.
Both are also called golden tiger's tail, gold shower, shower-of-gold, slender goldshower, and rain of gold.
