What is Jasminum officinale
Jasminum officinale (scientific name: Jasminum officinale) is a shrub in the family Moraceae, genus Sokei, native to India. It is one species of jasmine. It produces small white aromatic flowers from summer to autumn. The flowers are tubular, with four or five lobes at the tip, and bloom in a flattened position.
After the flowers, the berries ripen to a purple color. The flowers are used in perfumes and jasmine tea.
