What is Kale

Aletta (Scientific name: Brassica rapa 'Aletta') is a new vegetable that was bred in Japan by crossbreeding a variety of broccoli with kale. It was officially registered as a new plant variety in March 2011. Due to its appearance, it is also commonly referred to as "Stem Broccoli." The entire plant, including leaves, stems, and buds, is edible.

While kale is known for its bitterness, often used in green juice, Aletta has a sweeter taste. It is regarded as a nutritious and healthy vegetable, rich in carotene and vitamin K.
