What is Dendrobium polyanthum
Dendrobium polyanthum (scientific name: Dendrobium polyanthum) is native to India, Thailand, Vietnam, and China and is a species of the Dendrobium nobil family, locally growing on trees in lowlands to highlands. It grows on trees in lowland to highland areas. The bulb (stem) is long, fleshy, rod-shaped, and has many nodes. From March to June, a short stalk alternating from left to right emerges from each node of the stem, and a flower 2.5 cm to 3 cm long and 3.5 cm to 4 cm wide blooms at the tip. The dorsal, lateral and lateral sepal petals are pink and lanceolate, and the lip petals are rounded and larger than the other petals, funnel-shaped and yellow on a white background.
