What is Skimmia White Globe

Skimmia White glove (Scientific name: Skimmia japonica cv. White Globe) is a cold-resistant evergreen shrub of the family Rutaceae of garden cultivar. It is a dwarf species of horticultural varieties bred in the Netherlands. Miyama shikimi(Scientific name:Skimmia japonica) went overseas and improved and became a gardening variety called Skimmia White glove. The green buds turn into white flowers after January and make the flowers bloom until spring. The flower is fragrant with 4 petals. A red fruit is formed after the flower. In the same genus, there is a skimia rubela with a red spear. Miyayama Shikimi is named Shikimi (scientific name: Illicium anisatum), but it is a separate plant from Shikimi.
